I bought two of these to save myself time when setting up at my offices. It is useful in having my keyboard and monitor installed, but the size is awkward, it tips over a lot, and it does not power my laptop while attached. I still have to bring my laptop cord everywhere I go. I have never had a docking station that did not charge the laptop, so this is a huge disappointment. If it weren’t such a hassle to ship them back, I would have returned them both.

Overall, I am satisfied with the product. Sometimes the extended screen won’t recover from sleep or a dock/undock but works well most of the time. The unit fits anywhere as it is no bigger than necessary. Do note this probably won’t give your computer area a clean looking setup, I have a whole bunch of wires and cords going into this thing and it kinda looks like a mess.

The software with this device will cause display problems.

I followed the procedure for setting up this docking station. The software installed incorrect drivers that effected the display

    in the undocked mode.

The only solution to correct this problem was to uninstall the software.

I got better results by connecting the hardware directly to my computer.

I recently purchased Dynadock for my new Toshiba Laptop. The set up was easy and self explanatory. It allowed me to hook to my LCD display. It reduced the amount of connections to the laptop and totally simplified connecting the laptop to all the peripherals. I definitely would recommend.

I purchased this product so I can use only a laptop and have it double as my desktop. My new Toshibe E205 running Windows 7 connected with no problem at all. Super simple setup. I got rid of my old laptop and desktop and now have all my files in one place. I connected a laser printer, keyboard, wireless mouse, speakers and an external monitor easily to the docking station. I still have one spare USB port in front that I can use to charge my cellphone or hook up to a camera. The only minor issue I have is that the external monitor freezes up sometimes. To get around it, I unplug the power from the back of the docking station for a second, plug it back in, and the monitor unfreezes. Otherwise, no issues at all. The unit is about 6.5 inches high so I had to use some Velcro to stick the base to my desk corner. Otherwise, the weight of the monitor cord attached to the back would pull it over. To take the laptop out of the office, simply click on the “undock” option, unplug the cord and you’re off. All other cords are still attached to the docking station for when you want to hook it back up. Definately made my life simpler.
